What About Healing?
There are so many question concerning the subject of healing. I hope this can answer some of them. If a person goes to a doctor, do they have faith? They very well could. God has given doctors knowledge and wisdom. but, Jesus remains the healer. So, the question should really be, why doesn’t everyone receive healing? There could be many reasons why a person does not receive their healing. Those reasons are between the individual and God (Acts 1:24).
There are things that people can say or do that can prevent the healing of God. Mark 6:4-6 says, “But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. He could there do no mighty works, save that he laid His hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. He marveled because of their unbelief.” So, now you say, “I had faith, I believed, but I still didn’t get my healing.” Let me ask this. What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 says this about faith, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
How can you tell if you are in faith? Are you worried or anxious? Are you praising the Lord, before you receive your answer? Or, are you more focused on the problem? I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. I understand you are in pain. You have to look past the pain and focus on God’s Word.
You must also learn to not hold un-forgiveness towards others, in your heart. Mark 11:22-26 says, “Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain ‘Be thou removed, and cast unto the sea.’ and not have doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to past, he shall have whatsoever he desires. When ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. When ye stand praying, forgive. If ye have aught against any, that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But, if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
