This is a sensitive subject. People are more offended when you start to talk about prosperity, or their own money. Where a person invest their time and money, is where you will find their heart. God does not mind that a person possesses a lot of things, makes a lot of money, or lives in a great big house. He does mind if a person loves their own possessions more than Him. Exodus 20:3 says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." and according to Deuteronomy 28:1,2, "If thou shalt harken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments, which I command thee this day... all these blessings shall come on thee, and over take thee."
People say that we are living in the New Testament. In the New Testament it says, Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over. Shall men give into your bosom." Now, you may ask, "Why do we have to give in order to get blessed from God?" God does not need your money. Giving money is an act of faith, and God blesses people according to their faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, " But, without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God, must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
