This is the last lesson concerning ‘Who is the Holy Spirit’. There are very important thing you need to understand when it comes to the Holy Spirit. You never say Evil things against the Holy Spirit.
Mark 3:28-30 “I assure you that people can be forgiven all their sins and all the evil things they may say. But whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, because he has committed an eternal sin.” (Jesus said this because some people were saying, “He has an evil spirit in him.”).
This verse isn’t talking about non-believers. These people are religious people, they did believe in God but they lack understanding concerning Gods Holy Spirit. So, Jesus was warning them. God will not judge you if you lack understanding. People every day are sinning, and have no ideal that they are doing anything wrong. For example: Sex before marriage, It is a sin but people see it as a normal life style. The Bible calls it fornication. I Corinthians 6 : 18-20 Avoid fornication ( immorality), Any other sin a man commits does not affect his body; but the man who is guilty of sexual immorality sins against his own body. Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God’s glory.
Isaiah 63: 8-10 The Lord said, “they are my people; they will not deceive me.” And so he saved them from all their suffering. It was not an angel, but the Lord himself who saved them. In his love and compassion he rescued them. He had always taken care of them in the past, but they rebelled against him and made his Holy Spirit sad. So the Lord became their enemy and fought against them.
It makes the Holy Spirit sad when you rebel against God, so because of that, the Lord became their enemy and fought against them. In Ephesians 4:30 And do not make God’s Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free. (I suggest you read the full chapter of Ephesians 4)
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity, he is God’s Spirit.
